About Us
County Financial Consultants was established in May 2005, and is the independent financial adviser arm of our extremely successful parent company Pembrokehire Mortgage Centre Ltd. The directors all have long and successful careers in financial services and decided that by joining forces they could offer their clients a fresh outlook on how financial services are provided.
We focus on customer service and gain the vast majority of our business from referrals off satisfied customers. We not only service customers by using the traditional methods of face-to-face advice, but also can arrange advice to be given via the phone, post and Internet if preferred.
We have a team of directors and advisers who have been giving advice throughout Pembrokeshire and West Wales and indeed all over the U.K. since our launch.
Our Advisers:
Lee Morgan
 Lee lives just outside Pembroke town with his wife Natalie and two daughters Tyenne and Kenzie.
He is a fully qualified Independent Financial Adviser who holds the Financial Planning Certificates 1,2 and 3 and also holds the advanced pensions qualifications G60 and J05. He is a director of Pembrokeshire Mortgage Centre Ltd which also trades as County Financial Consultants and is also fully qualified with the CeMap mortgage exam and Advanced equity release exam to give mortgage advice.
He has worked in the financial services industry for over 15 years.
Ian Poole
 Ian lives in the outskirts of Tenby with his wife Sue, son Toby and daughter Georgia.
He gained his initial experience in financial services as a local adviser with Brittannic Assurance before opting to become an Independent Financial Adviser in 2001.
He has over 19 years experience within the industry and holds the Financial Planning Certificates 1,2 and 3 along with the CeMap mortgage exam. Ian is one of the directors of Pembrokeshire Mortgage Centre Ltd which also trades as County Financial Consultants. Ian is well known in the Pembrokeshire area for his sporting achievements and musical talent.
Ian is a former Welsh international cricketer, having gained several Welsh caps at youth an senior level.
Tony Upham
 Tony lives on the outskirts of Saundersfoot town with his wife Averil.
His daughter Georgina works for Nat West Bank in London and his son Charles is currently head boy at Greenhill Comprehensive School Tenby.
He is a fully qualified Independent Financial Adviser who holds the Financial Planning Certificates 1,2 and 3 and also holds the advanced pensions qualification G60.
He has worked in the financial services industry for over 21 years. He is a director and is also fully qualified with the CeMap mortgage exam to give mortgage advice. He is a director of Pembrokeshire Mortgage Centre Ltd which also trades as County Financial Consultants
He is also a well-known member of the community in both Tenby and Saundersfoot.
Gareth Dewhurst
Gareth lives on the outskirts of Saundersfoot with his wife Emma, two daughters Lily and Martha and son Luke. He gained his experience in the financial services sector with Britannic Assurance and later as a Financial Adviser with Lloyds TSB. He has over 17 years experience within the industry and holds the full Financial Planning Certificate along with the Cemap mortgage exam. Originally born in Pembroke Dock and brought up in Pembroke he has recently married and moved to the Saundersfoot area. He is a director of Pembrokeshire Mortgage Centre Ltd which also trades as County Financial Consultants
Philip Thomas
Philip lives in Narberth with his wife Dianne. He has one son and three grandchildren.
He has worked in the Financial Services industry since 1974 and was previously a Mortgage Manager with Halifax and holds the Financial Planning Certificates 1, 2 & 3 along with the Mortgage Advice Qualification (MAQ). Philip is currently the treasurer for the Welsh Cricket Association and the Cricket Board for Wales. He is a qualified snooker referee and regularly referees some of the top professional players.
Lisa Burks
Lisa Burks is Office Manager for Pembrokeshire Mortgage Centre and handles the general of the office for the business which includes keeping the advisers and their clients up to date with the progress of their mortgage and ensuring that the office runs as smoothly as possible.
Lisa lives in Saundersfoot with her 5 year old son Ethan, she is an experienced office administrator having been employed by local solicitors throughout her working life.
Gemma Clewer
Gemma joined the company in November 2007 following a career in banking with Cheltenham and Gloucester. She has a HNC in business management and assissts the advisers in compiling client reports and files. Gemma liases with clients and
Gemma is local to Saundersfoot and lives with her partner Stuart. They are currently developing a property in Pembrokeshire and hope to be moves in soon. This site is directed at persons within the UK only.
